How to Teach Your Parrot to Wave Hello
You can even teach your parrot to wave hello in just a few simple steps. Use a pen or an object that your parrot is not afraid of to get them to move their feet. Move the pen where you want your parrot to grasp. Each time that your parrot follows a command you should praise them to encourage them. It should not take long for your parrot to grasp the concept. Once your parrot gets the hang of what you are doing try to get the parrot to wave hello without use of the stick. Reward the parrot if they succeed.

Teaching your parrot to step upon your finger from their perch is very simple. Put your parrot on the perch and tell them the command. Press your finger gently on the abdomen of the bird.
