There are a number of different Bird Tricks that you can teach your parrot that will keep you entertained. Teaching your parrot bird tricks does not only benefit you. Challenging your parrot’s intelligence can help them achieve happiness. Parrots are very smart animals and need to be provided with stimulation. Parrots can be taught bird tricks like ring tosses, to pick up objects with their beaks, and can also be taught a variety of words and phrases. If you are attempting to teach  parrot talking you should be sure to practice repetition. Using repetition will allow your parrot to grasp what it is that you are trying to teach them. Parrots are known for being able to understand the concepts of shapes and colors. Parrots can also be taught bird tricks such as riding on a scooter or skateboard.

How to Teach Your Parrot to Wave Hello

You can even teach your parrot to wave hello in just a few simple steps. Use a pen or an object that your parrot is not afraid of to get them to move their feet. Move the pen where you want your parrot to grasp. Each time that your parrot follows a command you should praise them to encourage them. It should not take long for your parrot to grasp the concept. Once your parrot gets the hang of what you are doing try to get the parrot to wave hello without use of the stick. Reward the parrot if they succeed.

Training Your Bird

Once you train your bird with one trick training them other new tricks should be easy. Your bird will like the challenge and enjoy the learning experience. You will need to have a lot of patience when attempting to teach your parrot new bird tricks. One of the many perks of teaching your parrot bird tricks is that they will be less likely to partake in self-destructive behavior. Parrots love learning new things and love when they are presented with a challenge.  Parrots are not the only birds that can be taught tricks. There are a number of different species of birds that can be taught bird tricks. Parrots just so happen to be the most common type of birds that people have as pets.

Teaching your parrot to step upon your finger from their perch is very simple. Put your parrot on the perch and tell them the command. Press your finger gently on the abdomen of the bird.

The bird should respond and follow the command. Repeat the process until your Pet Birds fully grasps the concept of Bird Tricks.
